Thanks to the efforts of Bobby Guthrie, funding has been donated to create and upgrade existing pathways in an around New Cumnock. More information on this to follow.
Not everyone may be aware of the improvements to the paths and some people may not be able to walk these paths for whatever reasons. I decided to discover exactly where they were and how to access them taking photos along the way.

The Miner’s Walk – Castle to Leggate
The Miner’s Walk and Knockshinnoch Disaster Memorial/Lagoons Walk
This walk began at Danny’s Brig and ended at Knockshinnoch Road, Leggate. The second part of the walk will begin at the Lagoons and meet this walk at the Leggate.
The Pierpoint Pathway

The path can also be started from the car park at the back of the shops close to the stepping stones across the Afton. This stone marks the start.
