Thomas Holden

I am very grateful to William Holden for donating his father Thomas Holden’s photo collection.

Thomas Holden lived in New Cumnock in his early years before moving to Irvine.  He also spent his National Service in the army around 1953-54.  Some of the photos have been taken in New Cumnock, some in Irvine and when Thomas did his National Service.  William is not sure who the individuals are in the photos and would be very grateful if they can be identified.

Thomas Holden had an older brother, John(Jack) Shaw Holden, who tragically died in a drowning accident at 20.  The brothers were looked after by their great grandmother Mrs Ronalds known to many as Miss Ronald  who had a sweetie shop in Afton Bridgend.  William is trying to find out more about his father’s life and relations he may have.  Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
